I have noticed that many would classify Mnemic as modern metal. After listening to their latest release, I came to the conclusion that modern metal means a passage from metal (heavy / thrash) to punk rock, through hardcore, metalcore and nu-metal. As I am not generally a listener of such sounds, I initially treated them with a raised eyebrow, but I changed my attitude as I went along. Passenger kicks ass and has everything: aggression (and quite a lot of it), fury, a massive dose of energy, roughness, but all on a musical support, with unexpectedly tuneful passages given the sonic assault performed by the speedy drums and guitars. As I said, it has everything, but sometimes too much – and by this I mean influences from Meshuggah, Fear Factory and Soilwork. As for the lyrics, the preferred motifs are social (any surprise here?) and they say that they speak of "existentialism”. The songs that caught my attention are In the Nothingness Black, Meaningless, What’s Left and The Eye on Your Back – surely not the most aggressive, so whoever is into that kind of stuff I would recommend Pigfuck or Stuck Here.

albumul e ok...dar review-ul tau nu spune absolut nimic despre album sau despre formatie ("Dupa cum spuneam, are de toate, numai ca uneori prea multe")
